Summer Camps

Promoting exploration, play, and new experiences for kids of all ages

Pre-K Camp

Age 4 by 10/15/25 to age 5 by 10/15/25

Join us for an unforgettable summer filled with active adventure, creativity, and discovery! Our themed summer camp offers an immersive experience where campers dive into exciting new experiences. Must be potty trained.

Sailing Camp

Ages 8–15

In this popular camp in Round Pond, your child will learn sailing fundamentals, seamanship, and water safety in a 14’ dinghy.

FARMS™ at the Y Camps

Ages 8–12

These camps help your aspiring chef develop their cooking, gardening, and general kitchen skills while building an appreciation for healthy food.

Sailing Camp: Leaders-in-Training

Ages 14+

Experienced teen sailors pass down knowledge to younger campers in this leadership program at our Central Lincoln County YMCA Sailing Camp in Round Pond.

Specialty & Adventure Camps

If your child enjoys adventure, we have many specialty camps to choose from, like beach camp, metal detecting camp, wizarding camp, and more!

Sports & Fitness

Creating team players and future leaders

Boxing & Strength

Ages 13+

Learn the basics of boxing by “knocking out” head-to-toe strength and bodyweight circuits that challenge your muscles. This intermediate to advanced class uses punch bags, speed bags, weights, gloves, and mirrors for shadowboxing. Gloves available for purchase.

Youth Boxing

Ages 7–11

Your child can unleash their potential through boxing. Coach T. makes it fun! Boxing has many important elements, like physical and mental discipline; you don’t just put on gloves and start hitting. This class is for beginners or those interested in trying out the sport, so no experience is necessary. Wraps available for purchase.

Mid-Day Moments

Ages 2–5

Join Morgan and Georgia in this new mid-day program. You and your little ones will focus on different subjects each week together, such as tennis, balance, tumbling, food exploration, and art! Caregivers must attend.

Boxing Academy

Grades 2–6

Looking for an active program that will build your child’s confidence, independence, and character? Boxing Academy is a safe, fun way to keep your child engaged in physical activity while teaching valuable lessons in dedication, discipline, and community. Your child will advance their boxing techniques, footwork, and body movement. Intro to Boxing is a prerequisite.

Swimming

Ages 11+

A certified lifeguard will fill your child’s afternoon with swimming at Camp Knickerbocker or Boothbay Region YMCA. Scholarships available.

Rock Climbing

Ages 11+

Fill your child’s afternoon with rock climbing. Scholarships available.

Youth Ninjas

Grades K–5

Unleash your child’s inner warrior as they tackle obstacle courses inspired by the famous Ninja Warrior challenges. Through a series of fun and interactive activities, kids will learn essential ninja skills such as balance, coordination, and speed. Each session is crafted to enhance physical activity while fostering teamwork, resilience, and determination. Each session may change location based on skill development.

Sports, Cooperative Games, & More!

Ages 11+

Your child will play various sports and cooperative games such as volleyball, pickleball, basketball, kickball dodgeball, capture the flag, obstacle courses, and more! Scholarships available.

Basketball League

Grades 1–6

Each team will have one-hour weekly practices, with time TBD by the coach. Grades 1–2 and 3–4 will meet on Saturdays (location and time TBD). Grades 5–6 will compete against other local recreational programs (location and time TBD). Games will start SAT 12/9 and will run through January.

Y FIT for Girls

Ages 7–11

Your child can get moving and improve her fitness without playing sports! This class guides girls through dynamic lessons on confidence, joy, optimism, and strength, which will get them laughing and moving while they play games.

Itty Bitty Sports

Ages 4–6

Your young child will play, learn, and have fun with these age-appropriate sports! September and October sessions will focus on soccer skills like shooting, footwork, and teamwork. November and December sessions will focus on basketball skills like ball handling, dribbling, and passing. Bristol and Nobleboro participants can ride the bus to the Y, where staff will receive them. GSB participants can be walked over from school with Y staff.

Teen Personal Training

Ages 11–19

Your teen will get personalized and guided workouts to increase their speed, get stronger, and prevent injuries.

Tennis

Empowering children with lifelong skills, both on and off the court

Supported by the USTA Foundation and the Sanford Open. All youth under age 18 play tennis for free during open court time.

High School Tennis Training

Ages 14–18

Prepare for the high school tennis season with a pro! Your child will focus on technique, conditioning, and strategy.

Tennis Green & Yellow Ball Tournament

Ages 11–14

Your child can take their game to the next level by focusing on stroke technique and tennis IQ development.

Stay & Play

All ages

You and your family will play some gently guided tennis, work with your hands at our art table, and enjoy a healthy meal or snack in this weekend-based program.

Tennis Green Ball

Ages 11–14

Your child will play for fun or can join the high school team, while developing both their physical and mental game.

Family Tennis

All ages

Play tennis as a family with YMCA tennis pros available for gentle instruction.

Tennis Red Ball

Ages 5–8

Your child will hop, skip, throw, run, catch, and play tennis games to music!

ACEing Autism

Ages 8–20

Your child with autism will enjoy individualized tennis instruction while benefiting from social connections and exercise through tennis.

Tennis Orange Ball

Ages 8–12

Your child will develop skills to become a true tennis player, with emphasis on effort, sportsmanship, and respect.

Teen Cooking Classes

Grades 6-12

Through hands-on learning, your teen will cook healthy meals for themself and become a knowledgeable and confident cook.

Kids in the Kitchen

Ages 8–12

Your child will learn cooperative cooking skills while meeting new friends in this interactive and fun kitchen-based class.

School Programming

Grades Pre-K–12

Enjoy a day with your students in the FARMS™ at the Y kitchen or in your own classroom with our Y food educators. Your students will learn how to harvest vegetables, prepare healthy, local foods, and share a meal with one another.

Young Chefs

Ages 5-8

Your child will love this fun, hands-on cooking class in our teaching kitchen.

Exploring creativity, connection, and new activities

Y Teen Leaders Club

Grades 6–12

Your teen will join peers in community activities that support their development of lifelong skills, helping them achieve their personal and educational goals.

Y Arts & More!

Ages 7–11

Your child will create seasonal artwork and gifts in this creative program, such as leaf pressing, chalk art, and crafts. Bristol and Nobleboro participants can ride the bus to the Y, where staff will receive them. GSB participants can be walked over from school with Y staff.

Vacation Camp

Grades Pre-K–5th

Your child will enjoy fun and healthy activities from 7:30am–5:30pm during school vacation weeks and on many professional development days.

Grades Pre-K–5th

Your child will enjoy physical activity, academic enrichment, and connections with local foods (through FARMS™ at the Y) in this after-school program. Each child receives a healthy snack.

Before Care

Grades Pre-K–5th

Great Salt Bay Community School students can spend the morning at the Y from 6:30am until they are walked to school at 7:45am.

Infant, Toddler, Preschool

Ages 6 weeks–4 years

We foster creativity, curiosity, and exploration within a traditional classroom setting. This program is filled with opportunities to help a child explore and learn through language, math, science, social studies, practical life, and sensorial opportunities.
