Donate Boat, Sailboat, small watercraft, RV, motorhome, trailer or camper to the CLC YMCA and receive a tax deduction while supporting Youth Programs and Scholarships.
Is my Boat or RV donation tax deductible? YES! The CLC YMCA is classified with the IRS as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible.
What type of RVs & Boats do you accept as donations? We accept most RVs, motorhomes, pop-up trailers, truck campers and trailers. We accept all marine products including any size boat or personal watercraft. If you have any questions, call us at 563-3477.
What paperwork do I need to donate my RV or motorhome? In most cases we need the title to the vehicle. But, if you do not have title papers call us anyway; other arrangements can be worked out.
Do you pick up vehicles nationwide? We can pick up RVs, motorhomes and camper trailers, boats and personal watercraft within the Lincoln County area.
How do I calculate the value of my donated item? Thanks to new tax law, the IRS has taken the guesswork out of determining the value of your RV, motor home, camper trailer or other recreational vehicle. Beginning in January 2005, you may deduct the full price we receive for the sale of your vehicle. This greatly simplifies the process for you, the donor, because you no longer have to research and come up with an estimate of the fair market value of the vehicle. This also eliminates the risk of you getting into trouble by overstating the value of your deduction on your tax return. You’ll know exactly the amount you may deduct, eliminating guesswork, and saving you both time and risk. You will receive a receipt at the time we pick up your vehicle, and as a follow-up we will send you a second receipt as soon as we sell it, letting you know the exact amount for which it sold. That amount is your tax deduction.
How can I schedule a pickup? Simply call the CLC YMCA at 563-3477 and we will arrange for our staff to pickup your RV or Boat.
All proceeds from donated items will go to benefit Youth and Family Programs and Scholarships. These funds will ensure that no child or family will be turned away because of inability to pay.
